5 Inspiring Goals that are not on Your List

Who Likes to be Inspired?

I know that I do.

You’ve no doubt heard of inspirational Goals. How many have You set for yourself, I wonder?

And what would You consider to be Inspirational?

There are many things inspirational in this world, however today, I have isolated just that are very much likely, not on Your list, but should be.5 Inspiring Goals Blog post

Please make a priority of these:

1. Have a Goal to be Creative because

The world needs You and You need yourself. Creativity is the essence of who you are and/or who You can become. Creativity is anything that gets your mind percolating and produces positive action as a flow on.

When it does, you are not simply “following orders”, you are creating “orders”. Whether that be for your product or your service.

2. Have a Goal to stretch your Imagination like ..

“what if I could do that?”

Engaging your imagination gets you out of the “mainstream” and into the “jet stream”.

You begin to fly with the Big people. It may be simple or it may blow your mind.

Either way Imagining beyond your current space is Big.

3. Have a Goal to share yourself with someone, every day ..

Add value to those around you. Sharing is worthy, it is feel good and it is necessary.

Lift someone up, when they’re down. Support and encourage someone who is beginning to make it.

4. Have a Goal to “toast” the sunrise and sunset ..

A day that you have is a blessing.  Live your day, celebrate your success and most importantly, welcome new challenges.

Be grateful that You do have a start to a brand new day and celebrate the fact that you have lived through another … challenges and all.

For that alone is a huge success and lesson.

5. Have a Goal to embrace Nature and Wildlife ..

You are part of this after all. Treat your natural environment with Respect. Add value to your environment and in turn, gain Value from it.

The plants, the ocean, the rivers, the atmosphere and the wildlife All deserve your closest attention.

Well, fellow Life Lover, what can You do with these 5 Inspirational Goals?

How to be Inspiring without really trying

I’ve had a few comments recently via Social Media thanking me for being so inspiring. Now while I appreciate the comments very much I struggled a little with this concept of being inspirational.

I know that my intent in part is to inspire others to take action. Actually, that is really my bottom line. However this “inspiring” thing got me thinking.

I am not doing anything out of the ordinary.blog26

I walk my talk. I speak and write with passion. I Love what I do.

I care about many things on this planet … the people, the environment, the wildlife. I enjoy seeing people excel. I enjoy seeing people value life and live it fully.

I like to share my ideas and I like to share my best work.

I care a lot. I love to play. I see life as an adventure and I “test” myself by seeing how fit I can get in my latter mid life years.

Now, I don’t see that as anything out of the ordinary.

So I guess there you have it . Simply be your best “ordinary” and You to can be inspirational.

You have it in You. If I can do it, so can You.

And that’s the real clue. Simply be the best version of You.

Be good to yourself

Living Life Today – Say YES more often

The Living Life Today series provides a platform to think about your Life as it is Now, enjoy what you have, review and create an even better future for tomorrow”….. Short, sharp & easily digestible.

Doing a good deed for someone gives me a warm feeling inside.

Or simply saying “Yes” to an unexpected request makes me feel good. And it doesn’t have to be anything Big.

Recently I have said “yes” to a number of questions asked of me. I always look for reasons to say “yes”.Say YES Blog post

Yes has a habit of coming back to you.

Yes is definitive. Yes is inspirational.

Yes is forgiving someone for daring to ask of you in the first place.

Yes is action taking.

Yes is positive.

Yes sets up your day or makes it. Yes gives a part of you.

Yes creates a connection.

If you want dynamic in your day, look for reasons to say “yes”.

Also know that “No” can also be a “yes”.

When you know that “no” is the right answer, you are then drawing a line, create a stand and allowing space for more of the yes factor to be part of your day.

I enjoy doing a good deed for someone.

Or simply saying Yes.

What will you say Yes to?

21 more Self Discovery Questions for the 40+’s……enriching your Mid Life Journey in 2012

I posted 21 Self Discovery Questions to enrich your Mid Life Journey in April of last year & it has been my most viewed to date. Time to add some more “self discovery” & update you to the 2012 version.

Upon reaching the age of 40 & beyond, many will take the time to reflect…..of what has passed and what is to come. You may have a Vision of where your Life is heading OR you may not.

Either way, choices will need to be made, direction to be followed or indeed, sought.

Some questions that you may wish to consider to help you on your way…….

  • Am I happy with the way things are now
  • Will my current ‘choices’ get me to where I want to be
  • Do I commit to taking action to achieve what I really want
  • Are my thoughts helping me
  • Am I aware of any limiting beliefs that will stand in my way
  • Do I make excuses
  • Do I consider myself a Victim of circumstance or do I take personal responsibility for my Life

When one takes full responsibility for their Life, any prior obstacles or distractions are now seen as opportunities, to expand one’s view of Life.

  • Am I motivated to achieve what I want…..is the fire inside me well fueled
  • Do I appreciate myself
  • Do I need external motivation, a Coach or Mentor
  • What is my source of Inspiration…..do I have one (or many)
  • What three (3) important achievements will define this current year
  • Do my Values and Beliefs need reviewing…..are they still valid
  • Am I willing to raise the bar on my performance
  • Do I settle for less than I deserve
  • Is my ‘Big Picture’ complete or is it still a work in progress

This is an opportune time to complete your ‘picture’…..sketch it first if you have to and ‘paint’ it in later…..at least make a start.

  • Do I have support, people who I can rely on
  • Where do I want to be with my Life in 5 years
  • In 10 years time when I Iook back at my achievements, or lack of ‘action’, how will I feel
  • Is there anything stopping me from making progress on my Vision today
  • How will I feel, when my ” dream” comes alive

The Mid Life years are ones to be treasured. With the right thoughts, actions and dreams/visions one can “extend” their mid life beyond the generally accepted norms…..no time to dwell on ‘old age’ thoughts when you are flourishing in your mid life years…..let’s get to it!

Do you have any Self Discovery questions that you would like to add? If yes, please feel free to use the comments section below….. your contribution will be most appreciated. Please feel free to share this post with your Universe.

Be good to yourselves
