Living Life Today – When you must draw a Line in the Sand

I’ll come clean…this post is partly a “redo”. I originally posted “Drawing a Line in the Sand” early last year in my embryonic blogging days. I feel very strongly about this topic so I couldn’t resist re posting, this time under the Living Life Today series banner. I have made a few tweeks. Hope you enjoy.
The Living Life Today series provides a platform to think about your Life as it is Now, enjoy what you have, review and create an even better future for tomorrow”….. Short, sharp & easily digestible.

  • How much do you put up with?
  • How many Excuses do you give yourself?
  • Why is “Procrastination” your middle name?

There comes a point in one’s Life when enough is enough. This can relate to what you do……. and what others do to you.

  • Do you want to keep playing ‘the victim’?
  • Are you happy to be mediocre rather than great?
  • Do you put up with unnecessary crap?… or any crap for that matter.
  • Do you lack the freedom to express yourself OR the will to do so?
  • Are you choice poor? Or choice avoidant?
  • Are you stuck in a rut?

Could it be time to draw a line in the sand?…… No more crap, no more mediocrity, no more lack of or avoidance of choice, no more excuses, no more playing the ‘victim’

Stand up, be counted, stretch yourself, shine & do your very best!

Now, is it time for you to draw a line in the sand?…..

Be good to yourselves

  1. well said Dave. There comes a time to say “enough” whether that’s about enough of not living the life we want, or enough taking crap from others.
draw that line and move on, move up, move out……….move!!

  2. Tools tools tools! Getting the chutzpah to take that step is always what determines our havig and having not. Your post reminds me of someone taking a size 50 boot and having it swing behind them in a good way. I you’re reading this and haven’t clicked through – take the extra 5 minutes. Click through!

  3. the word is ENOUGH – I am ready to post a blog on this in a few days……I’m with you – not JUST DO IT like NIKE but DO IT – for yourself –

The proverberial line in the sand – when it’s time to make a decision.

  4. Cheers! Courage to live the best life possible, surrounding by truly supportive people! Draw the line, David.. you deserve the best! Be well and thrive.

  5. Thanks for the motivation David! It’s always a good reminder to be accountable and responsible for our thoughts, feelings, and actions. No matter what we have going on, as we will have “stuff” to deal with at times, we have a choice to make and to take control of the outcome. We don’t have to be a victim!

  6. Hi David,

Today, this line in the sand resonates with me – “Do you put up with unnecessary crap?… or any crap for that matter.” Sometimes we tolerate, tolerate, tolerate and then it is time to just let go and move one. People may not be working or situations may not be working, but I love your idea of drawing a line in the sand and saying enough. Thank you and happy Thursday. Is it Thursday where you are?

    1. Hi Cathy,
Friday morning here, a bright one it is too. I’m about 18 hrs ahead of the west coast USA. Thankyou for your words, I’m glad that it struck a chord with you.
      be good to yourself

  7. Hi David,

If we want to be winners in life, we have to stop playing the victom and take charge of our life. 😉 Thanks for sharing David
